It is the instructor's responsibility to know the content that are going to teach inside and out. Then they can focus on their next task of getting to know the students.

Keeping students engaged and interested in the topics are one of the challenges you will face, but you can use surprise stories to rope back their attention.

The class will react heavily to how the instructor presents themselves or the information. And remember to keep the human aspect involved to show the class that you are human as well.

No matter how many times you have taught the same class there is always the potential to learn something new. Also always keep a close eye on the students and see if any could benefit from extra help.

Before asking the question figure out what you are looking for in the response. Consider asking a follow up question to dig deeper and truly test the understanding of the student.

Making sure you give the students time to come up with a good well formulated answer is key to asking questions.

Providing a mix of new and old technology can help students just because each person retains info differently.

Do not over lecture the students and give the students a good opener and make sure to give a good review for the last 10-15 min of class.

Make sure you ask for feed back and then take the feedback that you get and process it. Then make tweaks if needed to your instruction.

Leading by example is important and also being able to share the knowledge you have without presenting it as cocky is key to helping your students want to learn from you.
