This section focused on the importance of establishing a service related relationship and using tools/resources to build your brand. When speaking w/ potential employers I will be sure to focus on what I can offer them and their company so the relationship is a win-win for all. I will also use all resources available to build a strong brand representing the services offered and how I can be of assistance to help others.

This section discussed the importance of building strong relationships with potential employers. It is important to know institutional information to share w/ potential employers, how the institution can benefit the employer, info related to programs and how we can help the employer accomplish their talent acquisition goals. I will ensure I am building strong partnerships w/ potential employers to develop long-term invested relationships.

This section discussed the importance of communication and how to be successful in the work environment. I will use the 5 keys to work success when talking w/ students to help set a good foundation for work ethic, and will discuss the importance of constructive communication and how to use it to be an effect communicator personally and professionally.

This section discussed the importance of presentation and the importance of interview etiquette. It is important to dress professionally, act professionally, and to be confident in your appearance and ability to interact with the interviewer. I will use mock interviews to help students with interview etiquette and help them develop a check list to ensure they are prepared for the interview.

This section talked about the importance of building a strong resume and cover letter. The resume and cover letter are the first thing a potential employer sees about a candidate so it is important to reflect the candidate in a strong and professional manner that aligns w/ the company's goals/position. I will make sure we review the resume to ensure all spelling/grammar is correct, make sure all sections are included with skills and information relevant to the student's desired position, and will ensure the student is able to speak professionally about all info listed on both the resume and cover… >>>

This module discussed the importance of readiness and the value of being prepared when it comes to job searches, presentation, and networking. It also discussed the importance of tracking activities to remain organized. I plan to implement the tracking method to help w/ organization and f/u. I also plan to provide the resources available to give my students the best opportunity to prepare themselves for potential employer interaction and to help them spend their time wisely finding a job that fits their needs.

This module discussed the importance of establishing clear expectations/guidelines for communication, evaluation, and participation. It is important for an instructor to analyze the environment to create a feeling of community, and feeling of being welcome so students are comfortable communicating independently and in groups. It is important to ensure consistent communication/feedback is being provided while not becoming the main focal point of the environment. It is important to foster an environment through collaboration and independent learning, and as the instructor, stepping in to initiate, encourage, or close out environments as they fulfill their purpose.

This section of the module focused on the student as an online learner. There are several factors to consider when helping students be successful in the digital environment. Factors such as generation/age, confidence level, tech level, etc. can all be important in a student's success and level of abilities to succeed. Instructors are the main point of contact for moderation and encouragement in the online setting, so it is important to provide the proper tone and clarification regarding expectations pertaining to communication and participation. This part of the module explains the importance of setting clear expectations/guidelines for communication and managing the communication process. Communication is key in a digital environment so ensuring all involved understand the boundaries and netiquette will ensure a successful productive environment that will be inviting for all to participate. 

During this part of the module I learned the importance of selecting the correct tool for communication, based on the size of the group, the purpose behind the communication, and what is being communicated.  I learned the importance of evaluating the tools both pros/cons to determine which method will work best for the type of instruction being provided.
