Planning and preparation are going to be paramount in your success as an instructor.

Get to know your strenghts and use them.  Get to learn your weaknesses and work on them.  Prepare well before the class starts

There are many different learning disabilities that students can have.  It is important to proactively offer any support they need to set them up to succeed in the classroom.

I learned to to try and lump students together because the classroom could be diverse.  People come from all backgrounds and may have deficiencies.

Creating student groups could be beneficial to both students and instructors.  It teaches students to work together and pool their strenghts to complete a task.  Its a good team building excercise.

Communication is going to be one of the keys of being successful in the classroom.  It could be verbal and non verbal with the use of gestures and eye contact.  

Organizing student groups benefits the students.  It also gives them team building skills where they can pool their capabilities together to achieve a task.  

Verbal and non verbal communication is going to be crucial when in the classroom.  Make sure you arent projecting any annoying or distracting mannerisms.  Be honest with your weaknesses and try to improve.

Many different factors come into play when considering an evaluation system.  Use the systems that work best and try not to create a grading "gray" area.

Learn to pull an audible if plan a is not working as planned.  Not having a plan b for your lesson plan is only going to make your class exponentially harder if the students are not getting it.
