Wow Ben, It sounds like you deal with many sources of stress. Worrying about school property loss as well as the dangers of an overcrowded classroom sounds tough. In these situations, its important to focus on the things we can control and let go of the things we can't. I know first hand how hard that can be.
Yes, highlighting key points in short answer / essay tests works great. Do give that a try.
I know it's hard to get back into exercising. But once you get going, it becomes much easier. It's those first few days that you need to push through. But know you can do it!
Some people are just really good at memorizing information and keeping it in their head. If you're one of them, a list in your head may work for you. But I'm glad to hear you have the chalkboard technique as a backup plan.
