I appreciate the advice of what to do if you have gone over your expected amount of time but still have information to discuss. Adjusting your expectations and lesson plans as you go is vital to ensure efficacy of your class.

This section covered different forms of presentations and advise on using each one. I will be taking the 10/20/30 rule when creating powerpoints' moving forward. Its is also important to keep the slides uniform, until you are ready to switch to a different topic.

In the classroom, it is important to come in prepared. If you come in a mess with papers flying, you distract your students and delay learning start times. Come in early, and prepared.

This section went over new instructor fears and mistakes. It also went over how to best mitigate them. Being properly prepared for your lessons will help the most.

This section gave me insight towards students that may need more encouragement, students that may need more involvement, and students that may need to be removed from the classroom. In future classes I will be sure to have information readily available for students to contact me should they feel an unfair grading of their scores occurred, and then a process in which to discuss further options for possible re-evaluation of those scores.

This section went over the different types of students in class. It also gave strategies on how to work with them effectively.

Use an icebreaker in the first class to ease students anxiety and help them feel more comfortable around each other. It is also a good idea to have a set time limit for turning in assignments, that is clear and gives boundaries to how late they can be, and what the cost for those late assignments will be depending on the time.

This section covered different testing techniques and their pros/cons/uses. If a specific pre-made test is given to me, I will need to be sure I plan my lessons to include the information given in it so my students are properly prepared.

Giving CATs to students, or giving them the chance to write unanswered questions from the day, will help me to understand their learning point from the lecture. This information can be used to adjust my coursework going forward.

Use questioning to draw students in to the discussion and gage where they are in comprehension of the subject in general.
