I learned that while student services are regulated and schools must offer certain minimum services, institutions can choose to provide additional support beyond those requirements. This reinforces the importance of admissions representatives understanding the specific services their school offers rather than relying on general assumptions that all institutions provide the same options. I also learned that schools can use many different marketing approaches, and it’s essential for admissions representatives to understand their institution’s marketing strategies so they can recognize the value these efforts bring and contribute to the school’s overall recruitment success.

All information must be recorded accurately, and students should receive complete and clear explanations of the institution’s rules, regulations, required credentials, and any forms they are expected to sign.

I’ve come to understand that completing this training is essential for working as an admissions representative. It’s important for me to be knowledgeable about and adhere to the Florida regulations that oversee the institution, as well as stay current on all policies and compliance requirements so I can accurately and responsibly represent the school.

The content presented in the section delves into the initiatives and characteristics that we must develop to conduct a conversation where at the end of it a higher qualitative state has been reached.

Something that I would highlight is the exercise of finding ourselves in the questions we ask, the detection of these traps that bias the true opinion of the student are crucial to truly listen to the other

I think the approach that the course has on the subject is very timely.

It is not only important to ask but also how it is formulated and delivered to the student.

There are certain practices that it is necessary to avoid when it comes to questions because rather than helping, they can hinder the process. 
So far, the course has helped me to discern between them and get the best of the word as an important tool.
