Astute observation, Dianne. The connection to Admissions is often overlooked and underutilized. Do you have a formalized procedure to connect new students back to their reps and then on to support service personnel?
You can see a copy of the College Student Inventory report at https://www.noellevitz.com/NR/rdonlyres/2877FAF5-E64A-4B25-A247-FF27798CBBE9/0/FormBStudentReport.pdf

When is the life skills course offered? Is it for credit? If so, is it equal in weight to core courses? How about the course taught by Career Services?
How do you communicate the day one course expectations to assure that students get the message?
What's the procedure to review books ad materials? What's involved in making a change in resources?

How can you find out if there are any? What do you do when you become aware of a student who needs help?
Do your instructors actually write the daily objectives on the board? Has it been a useful tool? What happens if they don't comply?

How often are the showcases and displays changed? How is student work selected? Do you include information about the assignment and the competencies being developed? This information can be useful for admissions people as they are taking prospects on a tour. It also insures that they are providing the proper information versus making it up.
Do the faculty members stay in the classroom when the administrative people are talking with the students so they can hear the message as well?
Inconsistency isn't just an issue between admissions and the classroom. Expectations in the classroom can vary widely among different faculty members.
