Main points for me were: 

Be Polite, Professional and Patient in communicting with students

Differemce with empathy and sympathy. I tend to be more sympathic.. but i do realise being empathic is better in keeping your communiation with students on track.

Communication goals: 

1. Be more aware of my body language and that of others 

2. be more attentive in Listening

3. Ask questions to clarify when i dont understand. 

This opening course is a game changer in how we communicate with students and colleagues in our organization. Going through the Communication formula was quite informative and practical in it's approach. The exercise to apply the formula was a bit challenging - as i didn't get it all on the first try - but well worth the effort and the explanation for each.
