Activity

This module reinforced the value of actively participating in faculty and staff meetings, as well as continuing education and training opportunities. Even if I stay current with policies, procedures, and documentation, attending meetings is still essential. They offer real-time updates, foster collaboration across departments, and provide a space to ask questions or share insights that can enhance our admissions strategies.

I’ve learned that meetings often go beyond policy updates—they may include important discussions on institutional changes, admissions tactics, how to handle objections, campus tour techniques, and completing enrollment documentation properly. Participating in these not only improves my effectiveness as an… >>>

This module emphasized the importance of understanding and complying with the rules around advertising and promotional literature, as outlined in Subsection 6E-1.0032 (4), F.A.C., Fair Consumer Practices. I now better understand that all advertising—whether print, digital, or verbal—must be accurate, transparent, and in alignment with our institution's approved messaging.

Going forward, I will ensure that any information I share with prospective students reflects what is presented in our official marketing materials. I’ll also review the institution’s marketing plan and ask for samples of advertisements so that I’m fully aware of what messaging is being used to attract students. If anything… >>>

From this module, I learned how crucial it is to clearly understand and accurately communicate the different types of tuition assistance available at our institution. I now recognize that while it’s my responsibility to introduce prospective students and their families to the available options, it is equally important to know when to refer them to the Financial Aid Department for in-depth guidance—especially when Title IV or other formal financial aid programs are involved.

To apply this knowledge, I will first ensure that I am thoroughly familiar with the financial aid section of our catalog, and I will create a detailed,… >>>

From the Admissions Staff Training Program module, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of clear communication, empathy, and consistency throughout the admissions process. I especially appreciated the focus on creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for prospective students and their families.

Moving forward, I intend to apply what I've learned by being more intentional in my interactions—ensuring that every applicant feels heard, respected, and supported. I'll also work to streamline the way I convey information, making it as transparent and accessible as possible to reduce confusion and foster trust.

I'm looking forward to learning from everyone’s insights… >>>

This module also taught me to make sure to keep a notebook and proper records this will result in better organization

The best way to get information about an institution and its programs is to read the catalog and speak with school staff and faculty.

The knowledge obtained in this section also helps prepare me to better understand the importance of proper prospect record keeping, and that the student fully understands what's going on in an enrollment process.

I have learned it is important to stay on top of  current policies and procedures, learning to keep everything organized and up to date i have also learned that communication is extremely important!
