It is important to go over expectations and all materials on the first day of class as well as to be organized. 

Leading by example is beneficial to not only students, but fellow employees as well. 

Instead of giving a student a zero for a missed assignment, it is more beneficial for the student to take time to discuss the reasons in which it had been missed. 

If and when students get distracted, it is helpful to redirect them to a new activty to ensure they remain engaged.

Giving 3-5 points on each PowerPoint slide helps the students focus on the topics easier than adding numerous points per slide. 

Being organized is essential to student success in the course.
