Since instructing online I have only dealt with solely online, uploading PowerPoints that students don't look through or textbooks they do not ready. Makes things difficult to put out good career minded individuals in the work force. Now I am in a place where I have to actually do Online Classrooms and not sure the best ways to go about that, any help is appreciated.

I liked the buddy idea, holds them accountable to someone other than the instructor and typically learners react better that way and will do the assignment or project as to not become on bad terms with their peers.

I like using the assessment upfront to determine learning styles early on. Adjustments in teaching styles would be easier to change earlier in the class.

Again, knowing the different learning styles and how to help them facilitate their style is what is important. Have used Mind Mapping in most of my classes, there are several different versions and you just have to let learners choose their favorites. I usually have them use each one in a chapter and see which they liked best.

Not all learners are the same. You have to adapt to individual types when creating lesson plans, this will always change as your classes change.

There are a lot of good ideas to help to get the information across to all types of students. Medical terminology is one that is daunting at times to teach and is stressed throughout the medical assisting program that it is imperative they know their terms to succeed, is the one thing they will use throughout their medical careers.

I like and have used the crosswords and word finds before for individual activities. I like using the matching game idea for a class activity as well.

Personally, I like the football or baseball activities. I have used the terms/definition cards in past classes, it works well. I like the idea of the ball toss, that can also be done virtually for online classes, the person just virtually passes the ball to a classmate.

Just reiterated that repetition is beneficial to remembering a subject or information. The medical field is repetition. I am very interested in learning new ways to present information to my students along with other methods I already use that have gotten positive feedback in the past. Never to old to learn something new right?

Value-added assessments provide a number of insights to how the course content was learned by the students and how it was presented by the instructor.
