Services must be available and attainable for students with disabilities.  There has to be avenues to facilitate access to services that students with disabilities can use successfully.

Accommodation for students with special needs is easy to see and understand in the In Class programs yet the same concepts and considerations must be extended to on line courses.  It may seem obvious but remains important to be compliant with all applicable laws.

Many learners/students have dissabilities.  Some diagnosed, some not, either way the teaching world must accomodate all students regardless of dissabilities.  Many times working together with a student with a disability gives the instructor and the student opportunities to brainstrom and find ways to overcome any disability.

Using a tool like a metarubric to evaluate the readiness of a rubric can be an invaluable tool for the instructor.

Many resources are available to develope rubrics and should be used as these already started pieces of the puzzle will help instructors save time in the process.  Web sites exist with options for rubric developement.

Perr and self assessments allows users to be open to constructive critisms that will enhance the learning experience and hopefully set them up for olong term success.

Although rubrics can be time comsuming to create they are a useful tool for instructors and students.  As they are developed they can be used in subsequent classes.  The rubric must be updated and revised as needed for continuous and future use.

The responsibilities of students and teachers as stated are clear consise and realistic.  Very critical for both to engae with and adhere to for continuued success.

The options regarding the use of online tools seems endless and that i a good thing as different learners have different needs.   When lots of tools atre in the toolbox usually the right one for the job is available.

Although the online and face to face learning environments are very different the expctations for proper classroom etiquet and manors alway remains a constant.  Sometimes students in an online format need to be reminded and referred to the syllabus and instituion rules regarding online communications.
