John, That is true, but you do have to consider your workload. Do you have a answer policy in your syllabus such as I will answer questions during the workweek within 24 hours and during weekend within 48 hours? This can help develop a pattern. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

John, What you say is very true, but technology does help us do what we need to do at a distance. I find that avoidance becomes my biggest barrier; the idea that students just want to do what they have always done. This can be their biggest barrier. Dr. Kelly Wilkinson

Laura, You make a great point. Many students will NOT take the time to learn new technology if it is different than what they are familiar with (these students are traditional students).
