Activity

This is the challenging part of the online component which communication, conflict, participation, technical issues with computer technology come into play. Always make sure that every communication is well documented for students that will claim the instructor was not very helpful or didn't explain or communicate. You will have some students that need more assistance in learning how to use this type of unfamiliar ways of learning. It's best to do what you can to make these students succeed and be open to things that might make it more challenging.

Being able to have synchronous and asynchronous discussions and meetings helps keeps students engaged to participation and learning. It also keeps the communication open so that students feel involved andit sometimes helps them from being discouraged to falling behind.

It's great when you know these students teaching them in a face to face classroom. For students that are learning from an online format, it's always great to learn about them from a personal biography. Maybe one day being able to meet them in person. It's great to have an interactive relationship with each student so that they know you are there and that it makes them feel comfortable and you gain their trust as an educator.

I've learned much from this e-learning and have also realized that there is no one way of teaching. Due to the sudden adjustment to an  online format, I've learned that I've had to adjust to teaching and engaging students in many ways outside of the normal face to face teaching.
