Quizzes are very resourceful to both student and the instructor in terms of tracking progress. Also provides immediate feedback, helps identify areas of improvement, and builds confidence.

There are many benefits to both synchrony and asynchrony courses. Student engagement is a key element to both course structures. The difference is the real-time application. Also, guest speakers in both course structures have a positive influence. It enforces the relevance of the subject matter and relates it to real life applications. Great way to increase student motivation and engagement.

Providing multimedia components to the online platform that engages the learner utilizing several different modalities is essential.  Online learning is student centered, and it requires student engagement.

I think that adding visual and physical activities would be a great approach to help increase memory retention with medical terms.

I would like to try the crossword puzzle. I think that it would help keep the students engaged, apply word parts to medical terms, and have fun in the process. 

I enjoyed the secret identity. It encourages student engagement, creates a fun learning environment, and the content is being acknowledged.

The delivery of the content is important. The majority of the population are either visual or auditory learners. The fewer portion of the population are hands-on learners. Applying content to all three learning types are key in the delivery. Also, repetition is key.

True / False questions can be used to determine one's mastery of the subject matter in a short period of time. However, papers provide more of an insight on students' mastery of the subject matter. Both great assessment tools.

Asking questions is formulated using course content and delivered in a way that inspires a student. Questions can help guide students to get to the answer.

Leveraging technology for student success through the flipped classroom model is an application that many utilize today. Pre-recorded lectures organized in online platforms and additional technology-based applications create a learning environment where students take on a proactive role accessing additional resources outside of the classroom. Learning environment continues outside of the classroom. Great way to continuously build motivational strategies to engage students outside of the classroom.
