I've taking several of these personality quizzes myself and we have longstanding jokes in the family about each of our personality types.  I can easily spot the traits I'm most familiar with in students, but I should print the MB personality chart to refer to!

 

Incorporating a variety of teaching methods and providing options for how to complete assignments is more engage and effective pedagogical method.

 

I believe that a blended approach to instruction may be beneficial in order to reach students with a variety of personality types.

 

Interesting personality color theory that may be useful when interacting with students, particularly in a one on one sceanrio.

 

I've done several of these personality tests and though I'm an INFJ in Myers-Briggs, I am not in the corresponding Hippocrates or color theroy.  What that tells me is that people exist on a spectrum and are not easily categorized.  Though it helps to understand student's temperments, I think it's important to meet them wherever they are on the personality spectrum.

 

As stated in the reading, there are so many benefits to VI and I wonder if we will continue to see this used as heavily once the pandemic is over.

 

I'm sure there are more opportunities for VI in this past year than ever before.  Understanding potential for scams is important.

 

I must admit that this has made me hesitant in using any materials.  I can see why some educators choose to use materials from the texts that were specifcally procured for the class.  I had always thought graphs, pictures, and even cute cartoons added spice to on line lectures, but now I ask....at what cost?  I'm too risk averse to continue using these items, but I'm glad that I'm aware of the risk now.

Model behaviors of a good digital citizen to students and other faculty.

As adjunct on-line faculty for a for-profit university, I found the potential legal ramifications to be very interesting material (it definitely induced an eyebrow raise!)  Starting immediately, I will ask myself if something is necessary for student learning, which I think it isn't in most cases.
