I have learned that it's not necessarily how long you have been teaching, rather, how you apply what you are learning, and always striving to grow in your role. It is very important to always stay professional, and knowledgeable, to ensure we are giving our students the best experience in their higher education, which will better prepare them for their new careers.

I'm just wrapping up my first week as the new Clinical Coordinator of the Surgical Technology program at Concorde College-and I'm already feeling excited about what's ahead!

Right now, I'm focused on listening, learning, and getting familiar with everything from onboarding modules, to site agreements, to getting aquainted with the students in the lab and classroom, as we get them ready to go out to their clinical sites in just 3 more weeks! There's a lot to absorb, but everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive.
