I'm just wrapping up my first week as the new Clinical Coordinator of the Surgical Technology program at Concorde College-and I'm already feeling excited about what's ahead!
Right now, I'm focused on listening, learning, and getting familiar with everything from onboarding modules, to site agreements, to getting aquainted with the students in the lab and classroom, as we get them ready to go out to their clinical sites in just 3 more weeks! There's a lot to absorb, but everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive.
First Impression:
- Clear communication is key-and I'm learning how vital it is between students, instructors, and clinical sites.
- Organization will be everything in this role-I'm building systems to help stay on top of tasks and timelines.
- Relationships matter-I'm looking forward to building strong connections with our clinical partners and supporting students as they head into the field.
What I'm working on:
Right now I'm diving into-
- Understanding the flow of contracts and onboarding
- Learning how to support students during their learning experience
- Setting up a structure that works for tracking progress and communication
There's a lot to take in as I'm in the beginning stages, but I'm incredibly grateful to be here and excited to take on this role!
