Providing prompt feedback helps students understand that instructors value their time and learning needs. By instructors steering the conversation and not taking over will help develop group participation and development. There needs to be boundaries and clear expectations from both the stude and the instructors.

I learned that having a work life balance is important to not only the instructors but the course as well. Being able to teach the online course without having distractions and setting boundaries helps with minimizing errors and misunderstandings.

Prioritization and organization should be top priority for instructors. Being able to provide prompt feedback and working without distractions will ensure students get adequate learning.

I am happy to see how much help and resources are there for disabled students. While sometimes it may be time consuming and costly, we can not ignore the fact that students have the desire and are eager to learn. this course has provided me with many resources to ensure that our students can have access to learning and be welcomed in a non threatening accessible environment.

I am impressed by how much technology has evolved to assist persons with disabilities. Not only at the educational front but overall disable student can use computers such as the Tobii eyewaze to do mostly everything online. I do believe more can be done for visual learners as personally I have not encountered many devices that aids this population.  I a glad that students with disabilities can attein higher education.

Instructors need to be sensitive and understanding of students with disabilities. As a parent with a disabled child, I can appreciate the lesson. Now that school is online due to Covid-19, we have had to change how we received education. instructors need to ensure that students with disabilities have as much access and assistance as possible. It starts with open communication and development of trust. Regardless of the disability, as humans we desire to be part of a community and education is no different. Instructors should have patience and understand the desire for all students to get an education. We can modify our teaching techniques to provide a good learning experience… >>>

I was not aware of metarubrics, but having the ability to evalidate rubrics ensures that the tools we use are effective and valid. Having students involved in the production of rubrics helps students and instructors be clear and develop rapport with each other.

Rubrics can be created using many sources such as google or your own instituition. the important thing to consider is to ensure the rubric is reliable, fair, and free of biases.

Taking the time to plan development of a rubric is important. Instructors need to have a clear understanding of what they want students to learn and how to evaluate learning Effectively using rubrics.
