What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I liked lerning about the seven principles of good practice. It's a great reminder of things that instructors should do.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I feel like we learned a LOT about synchronous vs asynchronous learning. I think this section had a lot about different tools to use for each.

I think there was an overwhelming amount of information about communication. LOL But seriously, i liked the idea of a community of practice.  The idea that our pervious knowledge gets applied to new learning situations. There should be a better way of gathering that information from our students and being able to support them.

I don't know if it was new information, but it is good to be reminded about intrinsic vs extrinsic motivation. How students motivate themselves to complete a course is important. I liked the idea of the student inventory/survey to integrate into my class.

I didn't think about creating rubrics for communication. It's a good thing to think about.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I think that instructors need to be aware of learning styles and how people are confortable with technology. I liked the sample survey to give to stuents to see what their comfort level is, and then using that to identify and concerns that may come up as you teach the course.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I liked seeing a rubric for student communicaiton. I'm going to include this in my online course.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I like the idea of being able to asses the best technology for your online course. Of course, sometimes it is up to individual schools or district to determine what you use, but up to the instructor to decide which of the tools provided to use in class.

Also, as a note, I don't believe in EVER using text speak with students. That's just me tho.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I learned to not just do what you did in a face to face class and just transfer it online.  Online learning is a different situation and we have to create content that is relevant and engaging.

What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I feel like every CTE class i have ever taken since 1998 has used "Sage on the Stage" vs "Guide on the Side."

It was a good reminder for me to realize that as an educator I have multiple roles that aren't always defined. As an online instructor there are specific roles that i have to know and to be able to perform in order to do my job.
