Thank, Nicole. Making lists is an effective strategy for identifying all that needs to be done. Once the list is done, how do you set priorities among the items on the list?

Amanda, I know what a challenge that is. I have had bosses like that and, to be honest, I can be a boss like that. It does not work all the time, but email may be a good solution for the questions to which you do not need an immediate reply. Another idea is to bank your questions and bring them to your boss in bunches. It is even tougher when ypour boss visits you and hangs out.
Thanks, Theodora! I am glad you appreciated the material in this module. Behavior-based interview questions, which require interviewees to talk about specific things they have donne in the past, yield great results. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
Thank you, Gina. These are all good things. Please be sure your campus pays attention to the students who are neither the most high achieving nor the students "in trouble." Too often, school forget about the students in the middle.

Teresa, This is not an uncommon issue. It may be worth it to create a "no cell phone zone" in the hallways near offices and explain why they need to go elsewhere in the building to make calls. The staff needs to adhere to the same rules as the students in these places. How have the students reacted to the dorr closing?

This is a tough one. You'll want to be as prepared as you can for the important meetings to help keep everyone on pace. You may even want to suggest to your boss that planning and conducting meetings could be delegated. Volunteer to be the first to help out. You may be able to impact the dynamics.

Thanks, Richard. Many folks have trouble delegating when they have responsibility for results. The key is to ensure your managers know what you need done, how to do it and that they can come to you for assistance if they need it. They also need to know you trust them to make decisions and take action in their areas of responsibility.
Thank you, Cynthia. Stories like this are what set apart good schools and good teachers from avaerage ones. One of my peers once said that our students travel great distances in their education at our school, but take baby steps to do it. The important thing is that we are there for them each step of the way.
These are all solid approaches, Michael. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Karen. What are some things you do to help students who do not come to you with these HABEs to develop them?
