Thanks for sharing this Cameron. It looks like you use a variety of ways to connect with your prospective students. Using different methods and tools, you can certainly find the way that they prefer to communicate which will in turn allow you to start building rapport. Dr. Jean Norris
Cameron, that is a great point. It sounds like your tours give allow the ability to engage different learning styles too. Keep up the good work. Dr. Jean Norris

Thanks Jessica!  So good to hear that you are able to add some ideas to upgrade your current admissions process.  As you probably have learned (and experienced) the world around us has changed and so have today's students.  It's time to update our admissions training and processes too!  Thank you for the feedback and continued success!

Mike, sure, these open-ended questions can certainly help the student uncover different pieces regarding their decision making and who or what else needs to be considered before moving forward. Nice job. Dr. Jean Norris
Great point Mike. It is important to not assume that you have heard this challenge before because perhaps there is more to it. It sounds like you ask further questions to fully understand the challenges that a student has. I also like that you address it and perhaps even discuss solutions with sources. Great work. Dr. Jean Norris
Katie, this is a great point. Allowing the students to see their different options and having a transparent conversation about tuition can really ease their mind. Dr. Jean Norris
Thank you for sharing this Katie. It sounds like you are using a version of the "feel, felt, found" technique which can be an effective way to connect with others. I like that you allow the student to talk with others regarding their concern. This will help them build a relationship with other staff members too. Great job. Dr. Jean Norris
Mike, thanks for sharing this. Yes, students today have a lot more choices and a lot more ways to research or shop before making the decision. What we can do is partner with them throughout the process to help them make the best decision for them. Great work. Dr. Jean Norris
Cameron, that's a great point. It sounds like you like to start off a conversation by building rapport and getting to know a student first. Then, you can get into the details about the school and the program. I'm curious, where do you see attitude fitting in? Dr. Jean Norris
Michael, interesting. This type of communication can help you connect with other generations. Great job. Dr. Jean Norris
