We are human and we will make mistakes. Though mistakes occur, we must learn from them so prevent the repetition of such mistakes. Focus on improvement of delivering content by reviewing areas that didn't work then make the proper adjustments to help deliver the content better. Also, ask for tips and assistance from your colleagues within the institution.

Having the rapport between instructor and student helps minimize cheating students to take such opportunity and allows the instructor to identify the students ability and discipline. When having to make a hard call, be sure to follow policies and procedures of institution and communicate and document the events leading to dismissal path to departmental leadership.

There are various faces to the students in each class: unprepared one, ready to quit, apple polishing, blamers, inattentive and center stage. Each type of student needsthe appropriate support and encouragement to help redirect and engage students in learning.

After every class, take 20mins to reflect on how the class went. Compare thoughts on what was going to happen for class versus how the class actually went and assess the gaps. Or write what worked versus what didn't and what you would like to see in class. Create icebreakers that get students to collaborate in teams. Help students share freely by providing a safe environment through guiding and probing questions of their ideas.

In this section, I gained the understanding there are three roles served as an Instructor: Model, Manager, and Motivator to the students. These roles contribute to the learning experiences of students as well. Additionally, my professionalism, personality, and excitement/interest in the topics, foster a positive learning environment for students to engage and participate. Lastly, as an Instructor, when I invest in my professional development and stay relevant, that benefits myself but more importantly the students.
