Letting students know what they will be assessed on in an interview is nurturing. When we are teahing students how to interview and land a job, we should not be throwing them into the shark atnak blind for the actual expereince. We give the students the same questions that our business partners will have on their mock interview day. Students develop more skills by the preperation than they do by landing the passing score on the assessment.

Teachers could break Behavior grading down into multiple compontnes. Communication, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Teamwork for example. Having students know what is expected of them will help in the development of the skills. If a student is stllar in all aspects but is struggling with thier communication it will show in their grading. I think it is impartant to point out the skills students still need to develop early on.

Definitions needing clarification could include: citizenship, motivation, adaptablity. These definitions often are not accompanied within curriculum and we need to teach vocabulary as well as the skill so students know to what extent these skills go to.

By incorporating soft skills into curriculum, students will become advocates of their education. Teachers will learn and grow within theirselves as well.
