Vary lecture formats to keep students engage. Keep lecture short 10- 18 minutes. Things can happen and sometimes you will need to come back to the subject. 

I learned that breaking the ice is crucial to having a successful class. I found it creative the many ways one can learn people's names. Having a plan from beginning to end is important to control the flow of the class. 

From this lesson, I learned that planning is key. Arrive early and get to know your audience helps breaks the ice between the instructor and the students. I also learned that having a syllabus is important because it gives a breakdown to the student of the subject, expectations, requirements, etc. 

I learned that being instructor encompasses being a model, manager, and motivator. Show engagement by giving being prepared to start your day, giving feedback, and show others that there are ways to improve.
