For me the biggest takeaway from this lesson was value of education needs to be geater than the cost. 

Although computer literacy continues to be a struggle from some, it is important that students have basic knowledge of technology use. It enhances communcation and provides alternative possibilites in the classroom. 

Collaboration amongst students, especially in classroom and simulation setting, is a great way to improve teamwork. The better they get to know each other, the better they will be able to communicate, sometimes even nonverbally. 

Many students often tell me how writing helps them to retain information. One aspect I would like to add to the classroom is peer revising of writing activities. Not only does it allow students to express feedback/ healthy critique to each other but helps build better skills and confidence. 

It is essential to allow the student ample time to think and brainstorm rather than supply the answer. It is also important to motivate and guide the student during this process. 

Because today’s learning environment is in a state of constant change, it is helpful to incorporate various platforms and technology to maximize their learning experience. 

Although accomodations can help individuals with disabilities, it should not change the integrity of the task. 

This made me aware that a high percentage of individuals struggle with learning disabilities. Being knowledgable in the different categories of disbilities can help educators who are working with these individuals to provide adeqaute support in their learning efforts. 

Very informative. Understanding the foundation of reading skills is crucial when it comes to students with learning disabilites. Addressing these challenges early on can make an impact in the success of the student. 

It is important that objectives are well-written to help students understand the steps they need to take to help them obtain the skills and knowledge needed to be successful. It is also important that objectives are specific, measureable, and based on competency standards. Not only are quizzes and exams are a great way to measure student progress, but having students present content and reflect on their performance to better foster intellectual development.
