Prepare for the unexpected and keep lesson plans handy.

Its important to get to know students during course preparation. This will allow the instructor to adjust lesson plans as needed.

Flipping the classroom does not replace the instructor but rather centers on the needs of students' learning. Instructors become facilitators allowing students to express concerns with content and receive fedback. The process allows them to become accoutnable for their learning.

Flipping the classroom will improve the learning process for students allowing them to think more deeply about the content. In addition, placing students in groups while completing homework keeps students engaged and stimulates critical thinking.

Access to pre-recorded content and other learning resources makes it easy for students to learn on their own time and at their own pace. Completing homework in the classroom allows students to have meaningful interactions with their peers as well as have the instructor assist them as soon as needed. These interactions enable students to complete their work, help their peers, and allows deeper understanding of the course content.

Although some may be resistant to a new way of learning, it is important to encourage adapatbility. With proper communication, support, and evidence of positive results from flipping the classroom, students will see the benefit and will become more effective and efficient learners. It will take a joint effort from both instructors and students.

This module described important concepts regarding student retention. Offering learning techniques like mnemonics can be used to reinforce objectives and make connections especially when combined with application activities.

The Crisis Game is a greay way to tie in content and stimulate critical thinking.

Getting to know students and sharing of background experiences helps nontraditional students to find their place in the class. Being a positive influence and providing ongoing support can help students remained focused on their career goals.
