Knowing that 63% of homes have someone playing some form of a video game places an emphasis on the need to implement some characteristics into the classroom. Many of the traits characterized by gaming, i.e., problem solving, goals are in fact utilized in every and all lessons within the classroom. Others such as progress indicators, leveling and badges can be implemented and become a valued tool. Guilds and the boss battel can be utilized and implemented in most applications as an additional tool. Emotional Intelligence, what a concept especially when it comes to identifying aspects that I can improve on and plan on implementing immediately.  

First the ability to differentiate between Hard Skills and Soft Skills and how to apply them. I now have an appreciation of Soft Skills whereas before I just tried to get by without understanding the true impact of Soft Skills and identifying my associated weakness in that area. I look forward to advancing Soft Skills to have a better product that the class as a unit will benefit from.

Comment on Susan Beheler's post: Eighty five precent says it all, hard to believe that is not saying hard skills are not necessary or important but it certainly places an emphasis where growth is needed. It is very true that both students and facility place a burden on applying soft skills. 

Recognized the importance and significance of what a soft skill is and how it applies to me as an instructor. After taking into account all of the aspects of what is considered a soft skill it is easy to see the importance of being able to first understand exactly what it is and being able to apply it. Looking forward to advancing and improving my own soft skills along with the technical aspect.
