Activity

Asking what the issues are first, then going in with a plan to help them correct a situation is best.

Learners seem to prefer apps. It's been helpful having an app developed by the school for the learners to have easy access to many categories of information they need in an instant.

Stay in contact with the student so that they know that can reach out to you about questions they may have about the platform. Let them know that we are not a "Bot" but a real person there to help them.

Staying connected with graduates ensures the students are on their way to being hired.

The same disruptions that can occur in a physical classroom, may also occur in a virtual environment. Educators will need to know the policies and procedures established by the school to take proper steps in managing the students.

Allow students to socialize for a few minutes before the start of the discussion, and allow a closing remarks at the end of the discussion.

Creating and posting a short bio about your experience, expertise, and credentials helps to earn your students' respect, helps their confidence in your knowledge of the subject matter and helps them feel more comfortable. Also, maintaining a strong presence and authority online helps to maintain the online class in order.

There may be some challenges that students may encounter with online learning, such as technology issues that must be corrected by the IT department.  Students will need to be patient for issues to be corrected. Also, maintaining a timeline of when assignments are due, sets expectations for students to complete the assignments in a timely manner. Having various ways to deliver the material will help to reach different types of learners.
