I agree.  I will think about designing rubrics so that they provide clarity about the performance or the mastery of content that we are looking for.

I have not thought about rubrics this way, but it is interesting to think that sutdents can learn how to provide constructive criticism through the feedback they receive.

Hi Carolyn,

You make a good point as I think we may tend to view all of our students at the same level.  When we provide feedback, we can see that everyone comes with his/her own perspective toward the topic and how they have mastered the assignment.

This module can help me as I look to create new rubrics for my course.  One thing to consider is that a rubric can detract from the student's creativity toward the assignment.

Hi Lauree,

I like to include Memes to encourage students to stay the course.

I think prompt feedback is one of the best ways to help students stay engaged as they see how to improve next time.

Hi Andrea,

I agree.  I think we can connect with students by asking questions and getting students to think about the course content.

As instructors, we must be consistent in how we interact with students to make sure we deliver course content as intended

I have learned more about social networking, including microblogging and blogging. As an online instructor, I think this content can be beneficial as I communicate with students and promote student learning outcomes. These formats may allow students to achieve learning outcomes in a personal way as well.
