It's important to give late enrollments as good a welcome experience as the rest of their cohort!

 

Faculty make or break the experience! Involving them in orientation will help build trust and relationships with students

 

Using orientation as an opportunity to reassure while setting expectations, make students feel like they are a part of a larger community

 

Retention = Perceived Value/Cost! There are simple processes and policies we can implement to improve the student experience and increase retention

 

The topic I found most helpful was "completion addiction". Prioritizing larger, important tasks rather than just ticking off boxes is a more effective way to use time.
