Address any concerns the prospective student might have.  you want to get to an agreement stage with the student and if you feel the student is still having concerns, go back, address the issue and make sure they see value in moving forward with the enrollment process, break into small pieces their concerns, this is the ethical thing to do. Isolate concerns, acknowledge, allow students to make their own best decision.  All of these will help you in seeking agreement with your student. Challenges are opportunities.

We need to address the student's challenges by creating options for them. Giving them solutions.  We must attend to the student's concern so they can make the best decision, a solid decision. See things from the student's perspective. Use tools like: Facts, visual elements, credential and evidence, remove the risk .... address challenges in an honest way.

Exploring the student's environment to identify the tools you need to gather information is key. Developing relationship, uncover challenges and options, look below the surface, what is really important to the student? why is the prospective student there.? Determine what needs to change to make it happen.

 

It is imperative that we match the sales method with its time period.  The way we sale and students make decision has changed. There are many factors that we must take in consideration to know what stage the student is in, how to meet the needs of the students? Students are balancing more. Technology has definitively changed ways of doing things.

 

 

Improving teamwork by setting clear expectations, clear responsibilities.  It's good to identify in your team who is the Action oriented.? People oriented? Though oriented? Understanding team communication role is important to improve teamwork in an organization.

Collaboration is all about us, understanding each other and supporting each other. It is ok to have different point of view, we need to have an open minded and collaborate with each other and find solutions to problems, processes, etc. The goal is to make things better for our students. Try new ways of doing things.

 

To improve communication between generations, recognizing and understanding the preferences of others. 

In order to enhance connections with your students or people, you must understand where each generation is coming from. It is important to understand generational differences when working with different type of students.
