About me

Ed Bouquillon served as Superintendent-Director of the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District in Lexington, MA for 15 years, retiring in 2022. He led the 12 year effort to build a new vocational technical high school, offering a full program of rigorous academics as well as relevant occupational pathways. The $150M school opened in the Fall of 2019. He continues to serve as the President of the Minuteman Futures Foundation, a 501(c)(3) supporting the mission of the school.

Ed has been involved in workforce development and education for more than 35 years. From 2013-2014, he served as president of the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators (MAVA). He is a 9 year Board Trustee of the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) and led the effort to find a new CEO. He has worked in both the public and private sectors, having served as a teacher and consultant, including working for Compaq Computers Corporation as a Human Performance Consultant. He served as Director at the Windham Regional Career Center, the Pioneer Valley Business-Education Partnership, and the Career and Technical Education Center/Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative. Recent co-authored publications include the final two books in the CTE Administrative Leadership series.

He earned his PhD in Workforce Education and Development from Pennsylvania State University. He received a Master of Agriculture degree from Penn State and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational and Vocational Education from the University of Connecticut. In 2022 Ed was appointed to lead Leadership Academy II, an intensive professional development program designed to train future leaders of workforce development organizations in Massachusetts. He consults with a wide range of public and private organizations and leaders, helping them enhance their capacity to serve their communities effectively.
