Having employees interactive with cross training and feel open to creating input within a team is critical to the departments overall success. Although some of the less performers my be the backbone of a department and usually have a deeper understanding on how to accomplish goals.

This was an interesting. Many great topics that I am currently dealing with. I think this will prove to be very useful in the near future.

 

I fall into the leader category. Through my career, I believe in developing a strong team and leading them successfully to the departments common goals. In any organization, it is imperative to have good relations and a deep understanding on what drives and motivates your team. Once that is understood, then the magic will happen.

 

I liked the topic of identifying issues that can occur with the online platform. I find this useful in creating a remedy for keeping the students engaged and assisting them with issues that my artise.

  • Conducting a preliminary survey to identify them.
  • Sending personal reminders of how to obtain technical support.
  • Volunteering your help personally to resolve technical issues by getting help from your technical support staff.
  • Reminding students that they can receive assistance.

Great points that are highly effective.

Avoidant Competitive Dependent Collaborative Participant Independent are issues with students not partaking or engaging in online classes was a great point for me. I also enjoyed points with the loss of facial expression, gestures, and tone of vocalization, messages intended to communicate in class is not present with online classes.

I liked that the course mentioned to make it a personal experience for the student. I also learned about list your credentials and even hobbies to break the ice and engage the students in the online platform. This builds trust and which opens up the door for the entire term.

I must familiar with the CMS my instruction and it is also import to know the deadlines that an instructor is responsible for. I also found it helpful to have the IT support number in case of technical issues. There are many different ways to Engage the students and that instructors will take many different approaches to reach the same goal.

Learning groups are a great way for students to critically think and solve problems. I also enjoyed the outline of students per group and the collective groups. Letting the students grade themselves is another key point that I think will be useful in the future.

This course really gave some great point to active learning via on line. I currently use power points online but just as a references. One thing I am taking away from this course is the use of inspirational quotes that can keep the students engaged.

 

What struck a chord with me during this portion of the course was the failure of technology. Having experienced this first hand with intermittent WIFI, it can certainly bring a halt to the learning environment. Always having a backup plan is a great method to incorporate for this issue that will take place sooner or later.
