I've never heard of the 10/20/30 PowerPoint rule - but I was doing it naturally. There are nice nuggets of information in these modules.

Being super prepared makes you confident also.

The simulated medical clinic is a great idea. I need to implement some of that in my classroom.

The flipped classroom is a good idea. I was already do that by mixing up the homework (which can be done in class) and making videos of demo's students can watch outside of class.

The table comparing license, certificate, certification, and degree was enlightening.

Having the student state their goals for the class on the first day is genius! Then you can review these on the last day of class.

Positive first impressions are good.

I had a student fall asleep in my class recently, I'm glad I handled it as per this lesson

I didn't really have a mentor my first year, but I sat in some other teachers' classes and asked questions of other instructors, some of which had only taught themselves for a 1-2 years. This was frustrating at times but it was enough to build confidence and now I'm mentoring other new instructors.

Best to keep a very small web footprint, and post almost nothing.
