Perkins' idea about CTE education was implemented over Dewey's philosophy of government, education, and industry melded together.

Many students don't like to voice a question after a lecture or to be called out. The 3x5" card distributed before class so they can write their questions down and collected at the end of class can be answer the next class is a good idea.

I try and learn each student's name the first day.

I need to get better at clearing stating the goals and objectives for the course, and then review them at the end of the course to show the student how far they have come.

It's important to be excited about the subject - it might be mundane for an instructor to complete the lecture/lesson once again, but it's the first time the students will see it.
