If the student is empowered, they will take their studies more seriously.  The student needs to see that they are in the driver's seat of their education.

It is important for the student to be excited about what they are learning.  With this excitement, comes engagement and ownership for their learning.  With this ownership, achievement of educational and career goals follow.

I learned the importance of protecting the victim and also that it is important to be fair in the investigation.  I learned that during trauma, details can be forgotten and many times there is a delay in reporting the crime.

Sexual harrasment, domestic violence, or any forms of abuse should not be tolerated.  Especially in a learning environment.  A learning environment is an evironment of peace and growth.  A threat to this environment should be corrected immediately by taking all complaints seriously and reported to the correct authorities.

if your are excited about the material you are teaching, the student will follow suit!

Story telling is a great way to break up insturciotnal material that can become boring!

It important to have that human factor and really know your students along the process of education.

It important to understand your classroom needs and facilitate learning from that information.
