The use of a rubric when evaluating S2S communication is an excellent idea.

To build an online community, students will need a tool for communicating with each other.

When creating online content, a teacher should continually improve the content.

Teachers need to make sure to include supportive comments along with the constructive critique.

I appreciated the synchronous guidelines for students during a VC.

Instructors must use a variety of tools but must also ensure the selected tools is appropriate for the students.

I learned of the "three clear points, three muddy points" paper.  I had not heard of this technique before, and I think it is an excellent option.

Having used rubrics before, I found the idea of adding a reflective element asking "What one thing did you change in your assignment/project during the self-reflection process?" to be an useful addition.

Students must be given an opportunity to form an online learning community where they can interact while learning.

Consistency is important for learner ease-of-use of the course, and it should be evaluated continually for areas that can be improved.
