I leant the importance of contrasting when to use synchronous and asynchronous learning methods, developing delivery guidelines, facilitating instruction and that establishing a consistent pattern of devilvery is critical.

The knowledge was very useful and I will begin to use feedback to help me establish course guidelines, consistency and establish an effective pattern of delivery, communication and better outcomes.

I will also have a first day guideline outlining course expectations, objectives, content, assessments, submissions and due dates.

Understanding the different  technological tools use in on-line instruction, their effectiveness. and how instructors can apply them depending on their teaching style.

I will practice using different technologies effectively in conjuntion with a combination of teaching styles for better communication, relationship and learning outcomes.

I learnt about managing a revision cycle and creating multiple evaluations.

I will need a peer educator help me assess the effectiveness of my on-line teaching and use feedback to improve teaching.

Difference between formative (to include self and peer0 and summative assessment, how to develop rubrics and importance of tying rubrics to course objectives as well as imporatnce of providing a meaningful feedback.

I will be tying the rubrics to the objectives and use self and peer assessment to help students develop higher levels of learning (be able to apply, analyze, evaluate and create) I will also use self and peer assessment to deepen student's understanding of content, skills  and develop constructive critisism ability.

I learnt the importance of having a syllabus that is dynamic. building a positive on-line community, channels of communication, communication tools, effective communication and scaffolding.

I will use the eight tasks for good scaffolding to be a better on-line instructor.

I have learnt about the learning management system and the importance of consistency in module template.

I will present content using variety of methods to take into account the different students learning styles.

I will keep all communications in personal student profile folders.

I learnt effective ways of keeping keeping course records, effective communication with students, councelling, dealing with undesirable student behaviors, resolving conflict and managing attition.

It was interesting to learn that conflict is an integral part of an effective and dynamic e-learning component.

It was surprising that disruptive behavior would occur in an on-line class.

In a traditional setting,  pupils learn best through seeing, hearing or doing and it's best if an instructor incorporates these three components to achieve maximum participation and learning outcomes. A differentiated lesson plan would help an instructor incorporate these three components.

How would an on-line instructor engage a student whose learning style is mainly avoidant?

I learnt about different learning styles, asynchronous and synchronous discussions as well as guidelines on giving feedback in an E-learning environment.

How would an on-line instructor modify the disruptive behaviour of students with avoidant, competitive and dependent learning styles?
