I agree with a few of the other posters here. The material has been good, but wish there was a few more resources that supported the module.

Finding ways to engage students in class while the phone is in their hands is huge. It's simply finding a way to teach with technology in a way kids want to learn. Present the material in a way that is presented on an app on their phone.

I like the idea of using multiple methods of delivering instruction and the methods for saving time with grading. All this is great. I believe it's all about fiding what works best for you, and more importantly, what works best for your students.

Good information about students with disabilities. Alot of this information I already knew but it was a very good refresher.

The information provided here was very good in regards to who you need buy-in from to make technology in the classroom work to the best of its ability. I enjoyed the information that was provided.

There was so much to learn about gamification that I never knew. My initial thoughts of gamification were nothing of what my mind actually thought it was. I like the different elements to gamification...leaderboards, XP, badges, joining guilds, leveling up. This is an awesome idea to implement into a classroom. So many kids an relate. Love the ideas, the challenges, the possible involvement in class. Awesome.

Alot of the things stated in this module are very true. Teachers need to know the names of their students. Not knowing their names really tarnishes the relationship between student and teacher. I also agree with the things mentioned about the teacher doing their best to not be the root of a problem. Be professional and plan appropriately.

Listen, listen, listen. I was always taught that as a young teacher. Listen to what your students have to say. I still believe that to this day. Have expectations for your classes and your students and make sure you have communicated that to your students.

I really liked the module on the students who want to be the center of attention. Some good steps that could be taken to curb the students that just cannot control their urges to speak or goof off in class. I like the way each method attempts to bring the student back to abiding by the guidelines or expectations set at the beginning of the lesson by the teacher.

I like the scaffolding 20% on late or missing assignments so students have a clear understanding of how much time they have to get work in. I believe the syllabus is a great way to get your expectations across to students and parents from day ONE.
