I never really thought about keeping a learning objects database to store content to reuse later. That is a very interesting idea to consider. 

Clear policy must be in place to make sure you do not have disruptive learners in an online environment. Or, at least have those policies to fall back on if something disruptive does happen. 

Staying engaged in your online courses helps to keep students engaged. Grading timely and participating in discussions helps. Motivating and letting students know what is going well helps. I also know from personal experience providing some constructive ideas lets students know that you have truly looked at their work. 

I have been teaching online for over 25 years. However, I learned in this module that it is a great idea to send a personal email to each student after class starts the end of Week 1. Write something interesting that you learned from their bio post and remind the student you are available.

Online learning or online teaching can both be a challenge. The online learner needs to feel comfortable with the CMS/LMS, and so does the instructor. Both need to understand how to work within CMS/LMS and both need technical support.
