Leslee, There are students who leave their academic institution without fully understanding their loan obligations. As an industry we must do a better job in delivering the information clearly. A best practice is to follow up with the students after graduation to see if they understand their loan repayment plan or have any questions. Cindy Bryant

Kelly, As an industry we must ensure that we are in compliance at all times. Anytime a school is found to be non-compliant it reflects upon the industry and affects all of us. You make an excellent point that our success depends upon what the students think about the schools in the area. Word of mouth always the best advertising. Cindy Bryant

Handling Do-Not-Call Restrictions

Birgit, Hi! Welcome to the forum. You are correct, there is a definite relationship that is established contractually...therefore there is no violation to the D-N-C restrictions in these situations. The majority of the violations occur during the admissions process when dealing with prospective students OR in career services if a grduate has requested not to be contacted. Cindy Bryant

Joy, Thank you for sharing this situation. While mailing the books to the home may seem more efficient and save space on campus it may not be truly effective. Your school may want to prepare a contingency plan. Cindy Bryant
