Aldgenette, Welcome to the discussion. How would you respond if a student asked you a direct question about a competitor and pressed you for a response? An example of this would be, "What can your school offer me that ABC school can't." Cindy Bryant

Ruth, Thank you for sharing your point of view. It has been my experience that students will sometimes assume that all college credits are equal and transferable. If the student is silent on this point the admissions representative/agent may not feel that it is necessary to address it-when in fact being silent on the topic could be inferred as not providing true transparency. It is a good practice to thoroughly discuss the detail with a student prior to enrollment. Cindy Bryant

Ryan, I would like to address your point of Knowledgeable Staff. The most important factor is the training and how training incorporates the schools mission and goals. The second factor is whether or not there is follow up training to secure understanding such as, assessments (within this course) and/or meetings to discuss what an employee may have learned. These two factors set the foundation for ethical behavior. Thank you Ryan for bringing this up. Cindy Bryant

Chrissy, Hi, would you mind sharing with the group what you feel a mock interview should consist of? Cindy Bryant
Ronald, Welcome to the forum. Your response outlines the right approach to avoid taking advantage of students by using their competition as a springboard. Thank you for your insight. Cindy Bryant

Kimberly, As with any front end business there always seems to be more pressure. What can be done to alleviate the pressure on admissions? Cindy Bryant
Danielle, While this is a great practice I would encourage you to commit to sending emails to department heads as well. Cindy Bryant
Offering an inducement to a student or prospective student to get a referral is a compliance violation. Why is it inappropriate to offer inducements to students or prospective students?
Jason, Thanks so much for your dedication to your students. Cindy Bryant
