This was very informative information.

It is important to add learning activities so that student have the opportunity to apply what they learn. 

It is important to understand language and culture

Just like in the medical profession, you need to be respectful and knowledgeable about a person's culture.

I need to make sure that I am treating everyone in a fair manner.  Each student has their own set of circumstances and that needs to be considered.

Encouraging students to be engaged in the classroom setting by showing them that the nursing field is exciting.  Also making sure that students are able to put the pieces together and critically think. 

I thought the "Crisis game" was a great idea.  Will try to incorporate in the classroom.

It is nice to have lectures, but you must also have another component to your teaching too and that is application.  It is great that the student learns it but not so great if they can't apply what they have learned.  Providing encouragement and support to students will keep them interested in pursuing their journey to become a nurse.

It is important to understand the needs of your students.  Each student decided on nursing for their own reasons and its those reasons that motivate them to stay in the program.  We need to be diligent to find out what the reasons are and remind them when we see them being less than successful.

The instructor should do their best to encourage the class to participate.  The instructor should build a rapport with their students and gauge their interest in attending class.  The instructor should attempt to use multiple learning styles because not all students learn the same way.
