I will be able to turn bad situations into good ones with my students. I will be able to give students positives out of the negatives. These are very important things to remember in communication!

I have had an issue in the last couple of months with several students that feel as if they are superior to other students and believe that they deserve special treatment. These students are students that are receiving financial aid to attend our school, yet show no gratitude to the fact that they are coming to our school at no cost to them. Making them feel at home in your school and classroom is very important. I found that letting them know that it does not matter how long you have been out of school or what the age variety there is in the class room they are all there for the same education and skills needed to move on in there new career path. So for the first week getting the students to bond and treating everyone equal is also important grounds in keeping them.
I found that making orientation fun turning all your potential students feel more at ease but what do you do when you have one potential student at a time for your orientation.
We have 2 out of 3 that are negative how do we keep them positive with out feeling pulled into the negative or losing the third student to joining them.

Is it a complete waste to run ads the week before or the week after christmas? Suprisingly we have had several leads this first week in december.

I like the idea of acknowleding the reps but I can see that it must be consistent. Everyone needs to be excited.
What sections of newspapers ssem to get the best response? When changing creative, how much of your look do you change? You still want to be familiar with your audience. Would you change content or go as far as changing identifying pictures?

Sometimes I wonder if i am spending to much in the yellow pages. we have 2 books and it seems like I keep spending more and more. How important are yellow pages and bigger and bigger ads?
