All of us are different, but there is commonality among us.  It is a responsibility of an Instructor to praise diversity and let is work for the good of the classroom which is a living breathing animal wanting to learn and be understood.

I have had many PTSD veterans in my classes.  I understand being a veteran enlisted and commissioned.  I strive to be understanding yet be an example how to move forward and focus on healing and learning

I am a veteran and instructor.  I strive to know how each student learns.

I like to end a class by suggesting research in text books and online on a specific topic, the discuss the next class period.

Ask open ended questions to spur intellectual learning associations.

EI enhanses one's ability to learn true from false.

Listening can enhance EI by one's increasing ability to learn empathy.

Being aware of your emotions can improve one's ability to learn more effectively.

I currently encourage students participation.  I would like to ask them what would you like to spend more time on?

I would assume police and emergency responders have resources in the events of crisis.  Does any one have experience in this?
