It is important to help students see the value of what they are learning. I like to use bell ringer and question of the day methods to connect the students.

I like using pre-lab quizzes to help students prepare for lab classes.

Rubrics help provide clear expectations for outcomes. They are good to use on competency-based assessments.

Labs can become challenging depending on the scope of the lab, number of students involved, and the students' preparation for lab all intermingle.

I enjoy learning about Bloom's taxonomy and how to use it as scaffolding for my students.

I think as my time as an instructor grows, I will be able go back to this module and adapt different assessment models.

I think team projects are great because creative and analytical thinkers can combine their skills to produce better work. Analytical skills include comparing, contrasting, and evaluating. Creative skills include wondering, flexibility, and thinking of multiple solutions.

I have found that rubrics help the students understand the target or goal of certain assignments, and rubrics also make grading really easy.

Demonstration of skills is one of my (and my students') favorite methods of assessment. There is a lot of value in using demonstration of skills for CTE courses.

I have found that oral assessments allow for more in-depth assessment of students' knowledge. It takes a significant amount of time, but allows for a dialogue of learning.
