Having clear objectives in the lesson plan helps to ensure that students are provided with well-defined and measurable learning goals.

Lesson plans are the road map of my day. It insures I am not wasting learning time.

Time management is key to student success. Having a plan that excedes the class time will insure that you do not run oput of material.

Staying up-to-date with technology and the industry relevant to your subject is important for preparing your students for their future careers.

It's best to listen and keep your ego in check. Keeping proactive classroom management helps student engagement by keeping them busy with activities/projects. 

I like dealing with chatty and center stage students by moving closer to them. I have seen how it can bring their focus back onto the lecture. I also like to set them up for success by catching them paying attention and asking them questions that I believe they under stand. This gives them a bit more self confidence and engages the class.

After gaining these insights, I have decided to revisit my syllabus and ensure that it is clearer for my students. I will be incorporating the WIIFM model more closely in my teaching approach.

Having a plan for your class demonstrates the behavior we expect from our students. Modeling professional behavior is the most effective way to encourage professional behavior.

It is beneficial to provide a brief introduction about yourself, perhaps sharing a positive story. Also encourage students to share a little about themselves. This helps create a welcoming environment where everyone is included.

Being prepared for class is essential. Avoid wasting students' time by fumbling around with technology and being unsure of what to do. Show enthusiasm for your students and the subject you are teaching. This will help engage students and create a positive learning environment.
