Reply to LISA WOLFF's post:Hi Lisa, yes I completely agree with you on this pretest that you ahev decribed and just to add my thoughts to your wonderful post, pretest also help me to prepare my class and what to include for my students as well as make necessary adjustments in my lesson plan. Thank you.

Giving assessment to students is a good way to identify their progress and level of their understanding of the subject matter I am taching. This will also help me to make any adjustment that needed to make sure my students understand the subject matter more clearly so that they will not have any problem answering any question related to the learning objectives that they have to achive.

Reply to Kathleen Watts's post:Hi Kathleen, yes I agree with you with this on this subject about lesson plans and just to add to your nice thoughts, when preparing a lesson plan we must follow a standard which would be beneficial for all our students with clear understanding so that they can also be prepared to make sure that they meet the expected standard.

Preparing and keeping proper documentation will help me as a teacher to be prepared in case of administrative audit and answer any question that I may have to answer. Wihtout having proper documentation I may be unprepared to answer any qurstion that I will be asked by my dean or/and administrator. This will also help me to resolve any potential issue i may run into with any student with appeal process with his/her final grade.

Reply to Donna Facione's post:Hi Donna, yes I totally agree with you on this and just to add my thoughts to your wonderful post, getting to know students through ice breaker concept would help me as a teacher not only the students' level of knowledge but how to prepare my lesson plan on a common medium of delivery which would be good fit all students (those with exiting kwnoledge about the subject matter as well as those are totally new to the subject).

Preparing a constructive lesson plan for the course I will be teaching is a very important task which would help me to teach the entire class effectively and also help my students to complete their class successfully with high grade.

Reply to James Baker's post:I agree with you here James, student engagement in every form (technology, in-class discussions, online discussions, etc) is an important part of any learning regardless of subject.

I think hands-on learning is always better but it would also depend on the subject or/and the objectives of a course that students are taking. Hands-on learning is always better for trading schools such as automotive mechanics, nirsing, medical assistant, dental assistant, help desk learning etc. but for other subject such as business management, marketing, psychology, sociology, history, English, philosophy, etc. hands-on learning is not feasing (most of the time with some exceptions like internships).

Reply to Barbara Anthony's post:Yes I agree with you here Barbara on multi-level learning and just to add my thoughts to your wonderful post, multi-learning model is very beneficial format for adult learners with limited technology skills. It add skills to their learning and also enhance their learning experience through multi-modal learning such as hubrid learning where they learn both in classroom as well as online through various learning tolls provided to them.

I have worked with self-grading technology in multiple universities, but there are some disadvangages for this technology aspect, they sometime don't explain why a student is answered wrong or right or gives a vague explanation. But most of the time my experience was good with auto grading feature. It also, reduce a teacher's workload significantly.
