There are different types of diverse learners, reading deficient, writing deficient and those who have a language other than English who are placed in the latter setting. In each decoding is necessary for successful learning.

Why can't review if properly done be an evaluation or a pretest?

Most of what I ahave seen jibes with what I have learned in other courses. However, some of the content did not reflect current sources in media, instructional material, assessment and evaluation. Has there been any new innovations? Perhaps what is presented represents how our educational system has become stagnated.

Perhaps, we will get to that as I progress through.

Evaluating student progress helps the student see how well they are doing and the instructor to see where improvements made be needed.

 

Whatever policy you establish for turning in work, stick to it.

Careful planning, done in advance is important. Be sure to plan the class time into segments. Sometimes the timing may not be exact. Use that adjust the schedule and learn about students.

 

Powerpoint is good. But has anyone had success with other forms like Prezi. I tried it and it took a little to grasp. It turned out pretty well.
